The BRCA Junior and Intermediate Finals for under thirteen and under sixteen have always been held in the middle of September, and for a number of years have been hosted by mostly Midlands based clubs. Worksop Radio Car Club was the venue for 2003, and being held in July there would be a better chance of good weather, no-one expected it would be that good though, and as you can see it was superb. The 2002 event saw the inception of a brand new championship "The Vets" catering for the over forties and it was a great success, another new class was created this year for under nineteen's, ensuring a good entries for both days. The track is mainly grass, with tarmac, concrete and astroturf sections and due to the dry conditions yellow Schumacher tyres were the tyres nearly everyone used. Qualifying for both days was FTD, chosen by Race Director John Alcroft. |

 It was difficult at the end of the day to get everyone together for a picture, but here are some of the the North East 2wd team pictured above, and below a small number of weary 4wd competitors. |

Brian Harris ran his usual Regional competition, and these are the results, the North East JUST! missing out on that top prize again. We will just have to do better at the F3/F4/F5's in September.
