| 4WD NE REGIONAL SERIES 2001 - ROUND 1 DURHAM | |
 Well, it was a bit cold, but there was no rain to speak of, as the 2001 Regional Series got under way at Durham last weekend. The track was bumpy (as an off-road track should be!) but fair and challenging, and with a monster jump to keep the spectators interested (and the marshals busy!) Our thanks to Bill Allison and the rest of the Durham Club for a great meeting. |
This year, for the first time , it was decided to run 3-leg finals for all, not just
the A final. This proved to be a great success. With a couple of practice runs, and four qualifying rounds, this
meant that all the drivers had nine runs each during the day - and nothing beats track time to bring your
driving on.
The next Regional is for 2WD cars, hosted by the Teesside Club at Preston Park on Sunday 13th May. Don't Miss It!! |
